We're in the same boat -I also have an oil catch can and I'm trying to figure out where to install it. After several tries, it appears that I have a can that is too tall to fit in any of the nooks and crannies in the -stock- engine bay.
I will give it another try sometime in the near future, but I don't think I will manage to fit this particular can anywhere....
As for installation, pretty simple: mount it somewhere, disconnect stock hose, cut the new hose to size to fit properly and tightly, install pieces of hose, tighten clamps

The can in this photo can be found on Ebay. That is not my engine bay but I put my can in the same place.

I installed it next to the windshield washer tank then later relocated it to the MAF side of the intake box. To shorten the lines going to it and to secure it better.

Well my problem is, I don't know what hoses to splice etc, if someone can take a shot of the hose in question, that would be greatly appreciated

I didn't splice any hose. Find the hose that connects to the oil fill tube. Follow it to the other end by the intake, carefully remove it. But about 5 ' of hose that is about the same dia. and cut it to the length needed to go from the intake to the can and from the oil fill tube to the can.

EDIT: Best I can do photo wise.

Just an FYI there is a TSB that addresses the oil in the intake.

Bring up that there is milky substance on the oil dipstick.

The kit the service department gets will install a PCV valve and route the tube at the top of the oil filler to the intake manifold.

I have asked this before and will ask again is the oil catch can better bet than the TSB fix?

Well I was only interested in this, since for some reason I saw a lot of oil in my engine bay. It seemed to be on the black plastic looking pipe behind the oil cap. At first I thought it came due to a loose oil cap or maybe I overfilled it, bt it didn't seem like it. I did have enuff oil level, so I really don't know why was the oil there. Therefore I figured I'll give the oil catch can a go and see what gives. This only happened once so far.

Ahhh just found that you have an '06, the TSB is for pre-06, as it is already done on the '06s.

You must have a leak in the hose going down to the intake manifold.

Take it in to have it looked at.

Page 7 shows the hose that is potentially leaking.

Hmm I c, see my only concern is that I only found this happening once. So I will definetely inspect that hose and see what gives. If it happens once more I will take it in.
