I have has a search on the net and the forum but I can’tseem to find what size the thread is on the steering shaft.

I am replacing my steering wheel with one that uses a weldon quick release (race car) and I would like to cover the threaded and splined partwith a cover I will turn up.

Can some one please let me know the thread size and pitchthat steering wheel nut is?

I have tried a few nuts I know the thread of but none fit.

 

I do not know, but if you were to take pictures, especially of both sides of the old wheel, that would be great. I want the original wheel, but sticking out about an inch further. I am curious as to how I would mount one to one of these adapters.
