THis could all be in my head, but I feel lately like my cars steering at low speeds seems lighter and looser than I remember in the past. At speed its fine, I just remember it feeling heavier and more direct at low speeds in the past

Now, my car is about to cross the 40K mark, so of course things will get looser over time, but I was wondering if anyone else had noticed anything similar, especially people who track the car hard etc...any premature degredation of the tie rods, etc..?
Any good DIY steering maintenance beyond cleaning the power steering connectors?

I have slightly lighter tires 23lbs than stock and the MS suspension, so that will affect things I'm sure.

I'm going to drive a friends stock car soon just to check, but I figured it was worth a post.
