I was watching this you tube video, and was wondering what kind of transmission this was.

Any ideas?

It sure goes fast.

Was in the lead at Laguna Seca until they lost it on the last lap.

They still made 3rd place

kersh4w 05-19-2008 03:49 PM

jesus christ that shifts fast.

heyarnold69 05-19-2008 04:38 PM

i want it.

MazdaJeff 05-19-2008 04:57 PM

Does it rev match or does he use a clutch?

When I was watching it I noticed how fast the shifts were.

imput1234 05-19-2008 05:25 PM

j/k lol

kersh4w 05-19-2008 06:27 PM

its a sequential, there is no clutch.

afaik, they still blip the throttle when downshifting.

It's a Daytona Prototype 6 speed sequential shift gearbox. I got that off one of their tech cards I got at the VIR race.

lurch519 05-19-2008 09:13 PM

Speedsource races in the GT class. Cmon now ray, I thought you were a race fan.
