You can get MSD wires from Black Halo Racing that are made in the correct lengths for our car.

are you sure you're using the site:rx8club.com method? I just found a bunch of threads. Sure, I could post them. But, I could also not. Too many spoon-fed n00bs lately.

Either use site:rx8club.com method, or go to the diy forum and read the sticky "how to search"

just here to help :)

I replaced my OEM's with NGK wires for $20. Not a single problem with them so far.

Hey Nines, does it matter which number goes with which coil? The two blues look identical lengths as do the blacks. Only the 1 and 2 on them.

I just checked them on my rx8 and the order they connect to each coil (from bumper to firewall) is blue, black, blue black. With all Blue's connecting to the leading plug on each rotor. I couldn't really make out all the numbers on each wire, but it seems the ones labeled 1 are on the front rotor. If you follow the color pattern, while carefully matching lengths, you should be ok.

When I initially did the install I tried the matching wire length method one wire at a time, since I wasn't exactly certain what the numbers or color codes indicated. However, on the last wire it seemed like I ended up with one really short OEM and one really long NGK; I had obviously done something wrong. So I simply took note of each coil position and which one lead to which plug on each rotor, pulled all the wires out, laid them down and matched each OEM to each NGK as closely as possible and came out with the above order which seems to be the correct one.

Hope this helps.

The order of coil to plug is critical.

A pic is often best to make sure there is no misunderstanding. Just follow the wire from which coil to which plug.

Thanks, that's what my confusion was too. Everyone said "match the lengths", but they weren't exact. Ended up working out great though. It's that moment you turn the key and cross your fingers. LOL

To make it less annoying to search add in a www. before the rx8club.com and it will get rid of all the Mobile results that you can get.

Guys should i use any tools for that or should i just place it on the plug and push it forcefully?
Also, what is the right way to remove the plug wire from plug by using hand?
