For a couple weeks now I thought maybe i was being heavy on the clutch, but now I'm certain that s not the case. Whenever I take the car up to high RPMs I am gettting a burning smell. It was really obvious this afternoon. Before shifting into 3rd and taking the RPMs into the mid to high 8s I could smell a slight burning smell rolling into the cockpit. Doesn't smell like clutch.

My oil pressure/temp eng temp looks fine. I'm at a loss. Again, this only seems to happen when i push it.

Ive got an 06 with 27k mi on it. Anybody have any ideas?

I would be really suprised if it was the clutch. Like I said, the last time i got that burning smell I didnt even shift.

Anyways, i'm going to take a look underneath for something that may be stuck around or on the cat that could be burning. I've been getting this smell for a couple weeks now which seems like a long time for something being stuck and burning off.
