Hey everyone,
I always come to the forums when I have an issue with my car because some people on here know more than my dealer... Anyway, I go to school out of state and don't drive my car for periods of time. It's kept either in the garage or under the cover while I'm gone.

I had been gone for close to three months and went to start the car up this past Thursday to find the battery was dead and wouldn't take a charge. No problem, it was under warranty, so I went and swapped it out. Put the new battery in and started the car. It was idling really rough at first, once the engine heated up I took it for a drive keeping the rpms between 3k and 4k and the rough idle/ revs subsided rather quickly. Drove fine Thursday and Friday. Went to crank it up on Saturday night and the idle was extremely rough. Like really really rough. So i did the same thing that cured it before, but this time didn't get very far because I experienced a significant loss of power, blinking CEL and smoke. I pulled over, turned the car off and saw smoke coming out from under my hood and out of my exhaust. The smell was similar to burning plastic. It cooled off and I got it towed to the dealer. Also, there was a white residue in the exhaust, instead of the normal black carbon.

Some things to keep in mind: The car is an 04 manual with 67xxx miles, 20k of which are on the new engine. Recently had carbon flush done before I put it into storage. Prior to putting it in this time, I had experienced a loss of power from time to time between 2-5k rpms and right after the carbon flush I had a CEL for about 20 miles. It went away but I continually had the loss of power off and on. I had to leave for school so I put off dealing with it until i could get back. The tech at the dealer told me that when he was doing the flush and afterwards, the CEL came on. It read Intake manifold master, or something, I can't remember exactly.

Upon reading, I know that it could be the SSV, but with the recent events I'm just really confused. I guess I'm looking for any insight, or what I should expect from the dealer, or what to know, etc.
