Ive noticed recently that I get a strong smell of gasoline when I start up my car as of lately. I also have noticed the engine getting a brief feeling of fuel starvation or missing when at WOT at ~7500rpm

Has anyone had these symptoms before or have any idea what they could be?

Some info: 2004 6speed, 56k miles, old coils, never replaced the cat, recently replaced gas cap due to evap related cel (cel has since gone away). Car needs new plugs as well (should have done @50k) but I will be replacing them very soon.

The smell seems to go away after Ive been driving for a bit... ill try to get the cat checked out soon though.

At least if its the cat, its a free replacement
