Should I have flooded?
Let me start by saying that I empathise with all fellow RX8'ers that have had their engine flood. I honestly felt that I joined the ranks this morning.
Here's how it happened.
I was going to work this morning. An easy two mile commute in the heart of LA. While driving to work, the engine temp was given sufficient time to warm up. I arrived at the parking structure, found a nice isolated spot, and pulled her in.
As I was wiping off the dust from the beautiful exterior, I noticed that I was sticking out a little far in the parking spot. I jumped back in, and started her up. I'm a little hesitant in pulling in the car, as I haven't quite learned how close to the nose of the car I can pull in. And I don't want to bang the bumper to find out!
Well, as I was gingerly pulling her in closer, I stalled it! Big time oops! The engine had only been started for about 4 seconds. I tried to start her up again and nothing. I went into work and couldn't get it off my mind. Would my car start again?
So an hour later, I made it back out to my car, said a quick prayer, and she fired right up. My question to you is, should my car have been flooded?
Note: The car does have the M flash.

.......it's a cold engine thing...since you had already made the road trip in, you should have been, and were, fine........
If you read back on the flooding issue thread dates, they are folks with older builds and older flashes. I don't recall (doesn't mean it's not out there) seeing anyone with a "M" or newer build having this issue....

man, that's good to know. Just to be on the safe side, I'll still perform a rev up to 3K just before shutting it off in events like this in the future
