Should I buy this car?

I need as many honest opinions as I can get. Im going to test drive it tomorrow. Im very familar with the rotary engine as i just sold my rx8 though i am not familar with a twin turbo rotary lol
I'm hoping someone can help.
It blue books at the very lowest 14 grand. It is a J-spec RHD so not sure if that lowers the price or makes it go up.

What car? Some info or pics would be great if you were looking for some opinions.

Also, to add, I didn't think that rotary engines had timing belts.. Am I wrong? If so why would he emphasize it's a "Greddy" timing belt.

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate how much help you guys always provide and the reason I'll be a rotary owner forever. That was cute eh?

Well the 350z's don't get much better gas mileage. You're sacrificing 2 MPG for more room and practicality.

FD make 3 model in 92-95, type R 265hp, touring 255 (same as US model), 96-98 have 276hp
and 99-02 have 280hp.
So I don't think it is more HP on the one you pick, just a gimmick. maybe a US model conversion. with all the up-grade, but no waldo fuel pump, very unsafe....
FD get 15 FWY 10 LOCAL and 3-5 track......

about 2600 lbs, twin turbo, 255hp, 217 lbs torque, 0-60 in 5 sec. You are playing the the big boy now, you can't complain the gas.
make sure all the vacuum hose is zip tied, they sometimes pop out and cause engine blown. If I buy it I will put a waldo fuel pump in it cause that is the next thing that cause engine blown. Never Run track with less then 3/4 tank. don't use ACT EXTREME pressure plate it will cause the shifter fork to bent.

So, just to keep everyone posted, I made the 3.5 hour drive yesterday to test drive the car and everything was fine. The guy knew what he was talking about when it came to rotary engines. I was quite impressed. Everything that could possibly go wrong on these cars has already been replaced. It was so fast driving it and got better gas mileage than my RX8. We took it for a 2 hour test drive and not a problem in the world. It does have it's cosmetic problems especially on the interior, so the claim about it being mint was false. But I can't complain. No leaks at all, anywhere and no boost leaks either. I made sure to drive it hard, it really turned heads everywhere i went. So, I'll be picking it up on tuesday and be the proud owner of an FD!

Ok sounds great but the seller already lied about it being mint condition. But you saw with you own eyes something that was not mint, at least something you could see. I'm wondering what else isn't mint that you can't easily see that the seller also lied about.

LMFAO. You are just too much, Leandro! This quote is a keeper. Reading bar graphs apparently isn't your only area of expertise.

LOL. Well he had pointed out everything he had replaced and it was extensive. He imports cars to Germany from Japan, gets them fixed up at low miles and sells them. For a profit yes, but to everyone else still well below KBB or any other worth of the car. I was impressed with what he was saying and what he knew about the rotary engines. The post on website about the timing belt was a mistake. The belts were replaced along with just about everything else. The exterior was almost perfect minus a few rock dings and things that are simply unavoidable on a 17 year old car. This car will need some ICE work for sure! but nothing that will take too much time or money. Thanks for all the help guys! I'll post pics and vids of the car.

That is really funny. My friend in my office who is being pcs'd to germany in two weeks was looking at this car. Its a pretty decent price, and looks like its in good shape. Although i would still take it to a dealer, or at least a non-involved third party to inspect it.

Good to hear you're overall satisfied with the car. It looks purely amazing! I'm jealous!
