short trips

Hey,

I read that short trips are not really got for this car.

I don't drive it much. Basically to work and back.
So on average i do two 7min long trips a day
My work is 1 exit away from me and when i hit highway car is cold anyway - so no red lines.

Should i get worried?
(I drive like that almost year - no problems)
Its 04 stock with cai.

i dont think that should be a problem .....as long as you let it work for 5 minutes or so when you turn the car on

i would worry about your driving habits.

exercise the revs a little bit and make sure the car is up to full tempurature. this will keep the air valves from sticking and varnish from building in your oil.

How much oil do you have to add? When you check your oil is there any foam(water) on your dip stick. How often are you changing your oil(miles or time).

I add every 1000. I think about 30% is gone on dipstick (not really sure but less then half hehe). Change every 3k.
No foam.

Yeah right earlier - dream on. I can't get up on time not to mention earlier
After too much traffic to go over 40 anyway.

I'll try just before work red line on 2nd gear. Just hit 9k and shift huh? Or i have to keep it there for a while?
