rx8 needs oil change
rx8 needs oil change
I'm due up for oil change but I work from 730-400 and mazda service closes at 5. The only way for me to get an oil change is to drop off my car in the morning and its not possible since I work. So where else should I go to get an oil change?

you get off @4, make an appointment for 4:30.... unless they need more time than that to do the oil change, or the dealer is far away
also, you could get them to let you borrow a Mazda for the day if you drop it off in the morning, many dealers will set this up for you (although prob not free)
another option, find a dealer w/Saturday service, they do exist....
my dealer lets me ( any customer ) have a rental for the day if you need it when in for service. 98% sure they do it just for an oil change. But I'm close enough to walk which is what I usually do.
Hello Everyone, Ninco here:
I recently purchased my new RX-8 and love the car. I have always been a person to do my own maintenance on all of my cars.
The dealership that I bought my car from has a "free" tire replacement for life program, as long I get my car serviced there.
I live in the AZ desert, which can afford me to purchase summer tires for most of the year. I have sat down and added up the cost of maintenance versus having to purchase tires and came to this conclusion: When you add up all the maitenance cost, this pretty much equals the cost of tires.
My question is this: Has anyone had a chance to purchase 4 performance tires for their RX-8 and what was the cost cost for you?
P.S. I personally know of some "horror" stories of friends having their vehicles serviced and their cars being worse than it was before, the dealership visit. One instance, the service mechanic forgot to put oil in my friend's Trans-Am and the lot attendant started up the engine with no oil! After about 2 months of lawsuit threats, he ended getting a brand new GM engine AND transmission for his '96 Trans-Am...

For tire prices, go to TireRack.com, or a comparable site, and check the options for the original tire sizes. Add shipping and local installation/balancing costs to the price and you will have a good idea of the best price you can expect to pay.
