Where will you be getting your cool intake air from...under the hood?

I mean that if you are getting your air from under the hood it will be 10-15 deg F warmer then where Mazda gets it and you will lose HP but gain noise.

If you find some material let me know---i am thinking the same.
Are you going the equal runner route? going to just a 4 port? I have done some work on the oem one and since i am s/ced i am beginning to think that all the valves in this manifold is not really required any longer. I may be wrong but we will see.
I do wish the exhaust ports would match the header, i also wish we had better exhaust sleeves.

i beleive what your looking for is an intake manifold "spacer"

so it wont make contact with the hot engine under it, that way there is no heat transfer

im not using the stock one at all. im using a set of gsxr ITB's. im leaving the ports stock (4 port) to see what it will make like that first.

then i will be porting it to see what advantage my port work will make...
