RX8 cruise control

Hello I have a problem with an European RX. European models dont have the cruise control even as an option. I have an aftermarket cruise all installed, but nowhere to put the buttons without ruining the car interior, so Im looking for an North American model steering wheel or the button set on the wheel. I have a friend going to US next month and I need someone from there to check the EPC for the part number so he could just walk into a dealership and get the parts from there. If there is someone from a North American Mazda dealership out there would you please give me the code for the button set or if thats not available then for the whole wheel. Im running out of time, so answering promptly is highly apprishiated

Your best bet for finding the answer is right here in the forum - from the forum sections list, go to the Vendors Forum section , then post your request to either or both of Trussville Mazda or Rosenthal Mazda . Both Marshall and Tommy are long-time Miata forum supporters, and are experts at finding part numbers AND providing the best prices on Mazda factory parts.

Good luck!

Regards,
Gordon

Just to add a question about the stock cruise control:

Both times I have used the cruise control I can feel a slight surging in the car...level road, no wind. The speedo also bounced back and forth between 69 and 70. The surging is very slight but noticable. The car only has 1000 miles on it and I just wanted to make sure the control worked.

Anyone else have this problem?

I saw a thread concerning special steering wheels, I think in the lounge just a week or two or three ago. The 3rd party ones look a lot like oem. Might help...

Here it is:

Thanks for the link to the Cruise Control surging thread.

Does not sound like there is an answer out there.
-----------
Maybe I can fix it on my own.
