Rx-8 loves drinking oil

I hope its not me but after i get a oil change and everything like that my oil is full but it doesnt take that long when i check my oil in my car and its almost gone ....

that bottom line on the dipstick isn't empty, it's just 1 quart down. And depending onyour driving and how active your metering pump is you could go through a lot of oil. I drive aggressively and she drinks 1 quart in between 600-1000miles. Absolutely nothing wrong with the car.

All rotaries (stock) do this. The engine's apex seals need to be lubricated somehow. Mazda injects a small mount of engine oil into the combustion chamber to get this job done. A downside is that it is taking from your oil supply which means that on occasion you will have to add to it. It you get oil changes every 3000 miles, you will need to add at least a quart if not more in between them. That's the rotary way. It's normal.

Maybe they are not filling your oil up to capacity when they do the oil change.

It is 1.8qt from the "L" and "F" on the dip stick.

I'd say that i add a quart every 1500 miles...but i push it hard.
is it too much?

now the real question is am i doing something wrong mine takes like a quart honestly in a average of 750 miles. I don't have any smoke and i've been told this is healthy for the engine.
