Royal Purple Oil Check & Clarification
So I'm getting ready to change oil at 43k miles, Had the car since it had 28k I think. Always used Castrol 5w20 conventional, changed every 3k miles, and add about a quart every 1k miles. To my understanding, the rotary engine is oil injected. The burn off temperature is much lower in conventional oil, allowing the oil to burn off without residue left behind. But I have also read many people switching to conventional with positive results.
If I were to switch to Royal Purple 5w20, what possible positive and negative effects am I looking at? Will I have excessive residue left behind, possibly leading to engine failure? Do I still need to add oil every 1k miles? Do I still need to change the oil every 3k miles? Will I actually feel results?
Thanks guys, any help would be great.

In fall the last oil change I did was to Ow-40 Royal Purple. But the catch is I'm using a SOHN adapter so I don't have to worry about injecting the engine oil into the apex seals. I feed the apex seals Idemitsu pre-mix oil from a separate container.
So I can say it works fine for the engine internals....but got no feedback for you in regards to having it mix in the combustion chamber.
