round cover next to glove compartment

round cover next to glove compartment

what's the little round thing on the left side of the glove compartment?

I'm guessing there is a bolt behind it, but what does it hold in?

if you were able to turn off the passenger side airbag there would be a light there that would turn on when the air bag was off. this feature is not available in the states
