Rotary Rotation Ratio DEMONSTRATION

There seems to still be some confusion about the relationship between the inside and outside of the Renesis.
Though it is explained often on this site and elsewhere that there is a 3:1 relationship between the eccentric (crank) shaft and the rotors, I still get people coming up with strange math and odd ideas about how many combustion cycles a rotary motor has per rev and what the rotors are doing compared to the "crank"

Here is a video that should explain this in a way the various animations available on the Internet haven't been able to get across.
Hopefully, someone will find this useful.

Rotary Rotational Ratio Demonstration

Good Demo......the commentary..esp the under your breath stuff is even better :)

Easy_E1 08-06-2007 08:25 PM

I see you haven't taken it apart from the other night.
This should clear up any questions on how many RPM's the Rotary is turning.

You did take our red lines off, right? There are spies out there!

The sharpie stuff is mostly gone, but I don't think it can be picked out from that angle.

wow!!!! thats amazing someone could say something like that.... even before MM broke it down barney style, there have been animations and gifs on the web forever that showed that...

Well, that guy actually tried to reference those animations as "proof" of his concept. He claims to have built more than 50 13b motors. He should get together with RotaryResurection and compare notes.

It will be interesting to see the back-pedaling that will ensue in that thread...

DrewMan 08-06-2007 10:42 PM

whats with the sandals?

What if you drop an engine on your toe or something?

:rollingla

at times I wish he would

DarkBrew 08-06-2007 11:10 PM

Good! I can show my friends yet another explanation of the rotary..

yeah, that reminds me of the forum expert who proclaimed that the Renesis e-shaft was doing 27,000 rpms at an indicated engine 9000 rpms :lol2:

That would be awesome!

Those sandals have a steel toe, actually. Comes in handy when the shop temperature is 115°F.

That's not very nice. Wouldn't make me any less correct, either.

chickenwafer 08-07-2007 12:44 AM

nice, Jeff

ps; you still forgot your ratchet

Damn it! I also forgot to get $10 from you and Erick for the oil...
I'm getting CRS syndrome pretty badly these days...

chickenwafer 08-07-2007 01:07 AM

and I'm going to take advantage of it! Free Idemitsu for LIFE!!!

jeffe19007 08-07-2007 12:27 PM

Nice clip MM! I too thought I heard some low mumbling.

Must be a mental thing.

Yeah combustion is a chemical process. Having it work at 9,000 RPM rotor, would be amazing. Now, how much heat would that generate?

shaunv74 08-07-2007 12:56 PM

Nice visual. "For all you that STILL don't get it" Classic...

Kane 08-07-2007 01:08 PM

Ok, that cracked me up!!!!!

MazdaManiac 08-07-2007 01:37 PM

Obviously, that clip was a bit "targeted". Now that the target has left the building, I'll re-edit it to be a bit more "nice".

Kane 08-07-2007 01:39 PM

Hell no, leave it as it is.... funnier.

if you click on "odd ideas" in MM's original post, it links to the specific post, then above it will say "Thread: <whatever the title is>". just click on that and you get directed to the thread

too bad mod ruined the fun by banning him... would have been more interesting to see how long it takes him to admit defeat... though I guess it's good that kane's thread didnt get taken over.

Not saying the guy didnt deserve a ban of some sort... but even if he is a mod of another forum, he wasnt really trolling (from the looks of his other posts). Didnt look like he had any other posts that were pointless/wrong. Oh well, too late now lol

MazdaManiac 08-07-2007 02:47 PM

He was intentionally wrong! Didn't you read his post! He was trying to trick me. He is such a tricky trickster! He got me good.
He was correct on one thing, though - I am spinning that assembly backwards.
Of course, that keeps the rotor coming towards the camera, which is more presentable, but it is still wrong, wrong, wrong!
I should be banned for such trolling!

Easy_E1 08-07-2007 07:52 PM

I thought the Idemitsu Oil was free?
I'll have your money when I see you tomorrow,,,,, mmmmmkay.

Oh, by the way your engine is spinning backwards. :uhh:
