Rotary Engine Oil System
Hey guy, I am trying to figure out how our oil system works (the oils path). From what I have found, this is the oils path:
1. Pan
2. Pump
3. Cooler/Coolers
4. Filter
5. E-Shaft
6. Bearings/Gears
Now here is where my question is. I read somewhere that the oil is used to cool the rotors but am not sure how this occurs. Do the internal rotor cavities fill with oil, and if so how does this oil get in/out of the rotor itself (or just stays filled)? In addition to that, after lubricating/collecting heat from the bearings/gears how does the oil return to the pan? What path does it follow?
I then know that it also goes to the oil injectors to be sprayed on the seals and gets burnt.
If anyone would like to elaborate on anything I am unclear or incorrect on I would appreciate it. Or if you have any SAE docs, Pictures or videos I could read/watch that would be great. Just looking for this information for a project I am working on.
Here is what I have found so far:

There are oil passages in the e-shaft which spray into the rotors.
I know on the RX-7, this flow was shut off by a wax-pellet type valve until the oil was warm, for faster engine warmup. Not sure if this system carried over to the e-shaft of the '8.

yeah the rotors don't "fill" up as far as I know the seals are sprayed by the injectors and the eccentric shaft also has oil galleries in it to lubricate our "main" bearings which in turn would b on the inside of the rotor itself......so each side would b "cooled" from the oil but I would not think it would b cooled by very much...
