Risks of a used starter???
I have an 05 and am looking to upgrade to the updated 06+ starters.
are there any major risks to buying a used starter?? i am only 17 and figured if i would save some cash by getting a used one.

if i were u and worry about the used starter might go bad.
Might as well save a bit more money to get a Re-manufactured one with warranty.
Mazda doesn't sell new starters anymore. Its all Reman.
if your car starts fine and never flood *knock on wood*, then Starter should not be your top priority.

i recently was doing LED work and had the lights on alot, it drained my battery a bit and couldnt crank enough to start, it flooded. idk if it was the battery or crappy starter but i want to get a new one.
