I will be replacing my right tail light tomorrow. Just wondering what I do about the key hole? Do you just remove the key hole from old tail light and put it into new tail light? Is that even possible? Or do I have to get the new key hole re drilled for the key?

 

the key hole has nothing to do with the light.

Just replace the light, it will not take the key hole with it.
