I got this from the first page but I just want to confirm, the max OIL psi range on the S1 RX8 is 71psi, correct?

It's more or less an approximation, as some people have seen higher pressures from a stock system.

Do you have to completely remove those guards to cut on them? Can you fit a dremel in there without the wheel and cut the holes?

Ah okay. Yes you can dremel them while they are on the car but they are easy to remove.

I analogize. I posted my wheel well lining question in the wrong thread, which in turn got us off topic.

Thread Revive. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of using a RX7 FD3S Rear oil pressure regulator+Two Dimes to the front oil regulator spring?

I know MazMart has the kit with 3 M5 flat washers was wondering the difference in width.

I am running the mazmart set up. Actually i am a bit worried about over pressure to my turbo. A restricter is really just a band aid fix and not good. I think we have a FD3S sitting around somewhere. It would be intresting to get the FD3S, Mazmart and RX8 units all next to each other.

I had the Mazmart regulator when I was NA and I would hit 130psi, I now have the Pineapple in my recent build from them and I hit 100PSI. Mazda upped the oil pressure in the S2 so I think there is something there and a a reason to up the pressure, but I think the Mazmart is too much. Both are too much for my turbo which is why I am going to run a Turbo oil regulator.

But my opinions on the Mazmart are not based on factual data just my own opinion in that even some race rotaries are not running that much pressure.

Racing Beat also has a version that give a more modest increase to 90-95 psi:

Oil Pressure Regulator - Street 90-95 PSI for 04-08 RX-8 - Racing Beat

I don't think that a good idea on turbo set-up no? Would be sweet. My local rotary technician is pressing dimes on the rear Stock regulator and front regulator just put two in after the spring. It's puerto rico method i beleive haha he did it on a turbo Rx8. but i kinda still don't know how it works ill ask and pictures if i can. I might read wrong but nygcp i think that's the user name on here said the Maz Mart kit is pretty much a Fd3s with RE engraved with 3 washers. Hopefully i read right. O.o

But aren't you running SS oil lines? also what oil weight are you using?, Wouldn't that affect pressure readings?

Is that enough? I know the FD3S oil pressure reading is around 110-115.

No, I'm not running SS oil lines and my oil pressure with 0W-40 is no higher than when I ran 10W-30, etc.

you can always shim the pressure regulator to get the pressure you want, it's something that has been done for decades, it's just that Rx8 people are mostly *damn noobs*
