removing steering wheel?

removing steering wheel?

no luck on serching.

anyone removed the steering wheel and is there anything with the airbag to watch out for?

to see if I can put a spacer in. I know this can be a problem with airbags since they are going off closer to your face but I need a longer steering colum. dam mazda for waiting to 2005 to fit adjustable colums

That could lead to a lot of warranty and ADR complications, probably better to ask Mazda if they can fit an adjustable column from the 05 spec, provided that it is available.

i have removed an airbaged steering wheel from another mazda (and replaced it with an MOMO item), if you want to know the procedures.... PM me

The wires to the clockspring are fairly short..

I'm not sure how long of a spacer you could install.

I want one too. I had a 120 mm spacer that worked well on my last BMW. I think 90 - 100 mm would work well in the 8.
