Regarding Coil Damage detection?

Is there a way to tell if the coils are damaged in any way by a regular Joe? thank you so much

look in any of the threads that are titled burnt coils or any variation there of. there are several pics that show what to look for as well as descriptions of how the car feels when they are burned.

They dont always show physical damage. Best way is to pull them and check them with a DMM.

You can check the first leading module without removing the module, if you can manipulate DMM probes with one hand. Just remove the wiring harness and the plug wire and check the module from the left side of the accordian tube.
