Thanks, Team, I did it in the right order. The problem ended up being that the bearing was pushing against the snap ring after pressing the hub out. I ended but just hammer it back the other way with a matching press spacer and a brass hammer. Without the pressure, the snap ring came right out. My new-found nightmare is that the passenger side spindle is stuck in the hub. I used a bearing/hub puller and it snapped the puller bolt. I'm surprised by the resistance difference on each side, the driver's side spline just fell out.
