Rear View Defrost

Rear View Defrost
Has anyone removed the door panel on their 8 to see if the Touring 8s are prewired (perhaps with a dead head run to the rear view connector) for the GTs' defrosting rear views? From what I have learned, the rear window defrost is in line (schematically) with this on the GTs. I know..."remove the panel and find out."
I really need this option because of the harsh WV winters. I mean really, roll down the power window and wipe the mirrors? I don't think so.
Also, I was talking to a guy from the UK that said his rear views have a courtesy light underneath that illuminates when the door unlock button is depressed. I was not aware that we (the U.S.) had that option. Is this another selective option between MazdaUS, MazdaUK, and Mazda Japan?
Thanks

Mirrors....
...not sure if the wiring is there, it usually isn't included at all in the harness if there is no 'option'.
The mirror lights are only UK/Euro/JDM, but Canzoomer sells little l.e.d. kits for the adventurous!
