Rear End Problems

So I'm noticing something strange with my car. Usually after I get off the highway, when I take slow corners, like pulling away from a stop sign on a side street, I'll get a slight sorta of... almost a grinding noise. Maybe not even grinding just a roughness. That wasn't there before. Like when I get in my car cold, it's fine. So I'm thinking maybe my rear end is sticking. It's got a limited slip right? I don't know how they work mechanically, but could it be sticking? It seems logical to me, because on the highway you're going straight that there is very little movement inside the rear end. Right?

I myself am having this same problem. I had just changed the brakes and thought I might have had a loose caliper bolt, but after putting the rear on stands the problem stops. So it isn't the brakes. I only seems to happen when there is slack in the driveline. During accel and speeds above 35 it stops. But push the clutch in and release the load and it comes back. Car has been at the dealership since Thurs. He is supposed to let me know something by Mon. Car has 75k on it and this is the first problem excluding the ECU replacement and of course the transmission.

Your problem seems very different than mine. Mine would only happen after about 30 minutes or more of highway driving, and only when i was taking sharp turns after getting off the highway. But the car I had when I started this thread is long gone (lease end) sooooo sucks for the guy that ends up buying it used

It was pretty much from day one on my car. Had the service dept look at it several times, but they never observed any problems. Problem is you have to drive it for a half hour or so on the highway before it would happen, and I don't think they ever did that. But like I said, that car was a 27 month lease, that ended months ago. After the 3rd or so time that the service dept couldn't find anything, and after they told me they are going to have to start charging me to look for the problem... i just ignored it.
