RB cold air system with stock airbox?

RB cold air system with stock airbox?

anyone out there tried this combo? seems to me it would be a good bang for the buck.

Yeah, rotors right, I have that combo. I put about 4" of fabbed up plastic/pop rivets to join the top of the RB scoop and the stock inlet.

VFAD piece has to come out. Plug vacuum line, but leave electrically hooked up.

after testing both, the real gain is in the RB intake, not the cold air extension. skip the extension and get the intake if money is an issue. its the intake that gets you the better mileage and extra power.

How did you test? At speed on road or on track or on a dyno? Why would RB make it if no gain - it's not their character.

not saying it has no benefit, just that the airbox itself if you have to choose between the two is better.

I did not observe any change in mileage or power (except at 90+mph) with the CAI extension. the airbox already sucks some pretty cold air.
