You can drive the 8 in the winter. I did last winter in Chicago. You should get some good snow tires, All seasons at a minimum. It would be very dangerous on summer tires.

The cars good balance make it fairly easy to drive even in the worst of conditions. The traction control is helpfull. You just need to be sure that the front of the airdam clears the snow on the road and you are all set.

I'm not worried about snow it's the premixed snow that I'm concerned with.

The care is very good in the snow, you just need to get dedicated snow tires. You obviously can NOT use the summer-only tires that come with the car.

Also, obviously, in very high snow (greater than 6-8 inches at stock height) you'll run into clearance problems....it's not a jeep after all.

We do have tons of snow here as we are far up north. But, I always buy winter tires for all my vehicles. I know the car is low when you buy it stock, but it can't be worse then driving a Dodge Neon right? The older version I mean, they sit pretty low as well.
