Hey guys, I installed the Buddy Club Slider Rails into my S1 RX8. And I'm running a Recaro SPG.

However, the seat is too narrow by about 3/4". I bought some nylon spacers to fill up that space and used longer bolts and currently, this is how i have it setup. I only have the nylon spacers on the left side of the seat. The right side has the brackets bolted directly to the seat itself.

I know its normal (sometimes) for there to be space between the seat and the sidemount brackets and Ive read about people using spacers inbetween the seat bracket and the seat itself - but does this look unsafe? The seat is firmly bolted onto the rails and the bolts are fully threaded into the seats themselves. But something about using an inch long spacer just looks awkward......

Thoughts?

 

Update.

Didnt feel comfortable with it even though it was secure.

Swapped the seat out with a Recaro Pole Position that has a wider base.
