Question about a 2007 engine and PCM in a 2004

Hi,

I'm about to buy a totalled 2007 with 19.000 miles (the car run over a parked car, the front right tire "climbed up" over it, flipped over, all the ceiling part is crushed but the interior, engine, gearbox, etc, is perfect, already tested), I plan to use the engine, starter, ECU, steering wheel and some other parts of the 2007 on my 2004, since is currently low on compression (and the starter sucks), and selling the rest, but I've some questions before buying it:

1. It is possible to install a 2007 engine (all the longblock) into a 2004? (I guess the answer is yes but I want to be 100% sure)
2. Will I need the 2007 ECU?
3. If I install the ECU, steering wheel and brake sensor will I gain working cruise controls? (I've searched for half an hour but can't find the answer)
4. What other parts of the 2007 would be interesting to add to my 2004 before selling the rest? I tought about changing the radiators, cat , coolant reservoir and MAF too.

Thanks!

1. yes, as long as its the same tranny kind (mt to mt, at to at)
2. yes, because 2004/2005/2006+ have different ECU
3. everything has to be in the same MY
4. everything other than electronic.

Thanks!

Does your answer to 3) (cruise controls) implies that I won't have cruise control with just these parts? (sorry, my english is not perfect).

Why can't I install electronic components if I add the new ECU? I was thinking about adding the RPMs, speed, etc. cluster since it will probably have the "cruise" light and mine has a little dust under the transparent cover.

Yes, it does have the cruise control buttons in the wheel. I'll take a look at the glove box too; I was going to change the glove box too since mine's drop by one side when opened (I don't know if I'll have much to sell after hehe).
