I have never ran into this problem.
I've always had plenty of room for a ratchet and deep socket.
Can you use an extension to get around the hanger?
Maybe use a swivel with it too?

Deepwell socket. I think I know which you're talking about, I had probs with that one when I used a stubby socket.

Yeah... deep is needed because you have to remove the nut compressing the spring.

deep socket ftw.

remember when u shop for deep socket, buy the impact ones, even you dont have an impact/air tools.

those thing will last forever, you can abuse the **** outa it and it will still work.

^^true... I usually get away with a breaker bar, but even that can still involve cursing
And like alnielsen said... 6-point. Never use a 12-point on a 6-point where a good amount of torque is required.
