So I’ve tried to replace the PS module, swapping various ones I’ve found on eBay, all of which were “tested and working”. I went to the dealer for a reflash which didn’t change anything, and they’re saying the code that it’s returning now is B1342 (ECU defective). I’ve had the module replaced before, a new rack, and a new harness. I’m not really sure what to do at this point and may just give up on having power steering all together.

 

did you manage to fix it? i Think I have the same problem

Im having some problems problems with my power steering and after cheeking my the entire instalation everything points out to the power steering Ecu or module.

My question is: Can you take a used steering ecu, take it to the dealership to re-intialize it?
