Im just using the stock rx8 plugs that's what i feel safe with

^Me too. MM told me the 7 plugs bur out faster aside from that just be shure to use the washers when you use them.

As for the question the OG poster asked; From what I was told the new/updated plug was made to prevent flooding.

i almost went with the 7 plugs but what happens if the washer is too thin? oh ther goes that rotor/apex seal....
