Parts, Frame, Drive Train, Sections - What's Under the 8's Skin
5 Attachment(s)
Been doing a lot of research on the 8, and have been looking for pictures of the frame or other parts. This is just some of the stuff that I have been able to find. Now its easier to find pictures when taking on a subject.
I figured that some of it could help other people out see what is under our cars skin, and to have it all located in one place. Add more if you have any I missed! If you find any mistakes I made please correct me. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...dsb3200/75.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...dsb3200/71.jpg http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...dsb3200/70.jpg I do not take any credit for these pictures, just organized them into one place. |

thanks guys. I was just going for a reference page because I know it can be frustrating to find that one picture you need.
Awesome post. If you can get your hands on the RX-8 book it really goes into detail in regards to why they engineered what they did to build the 8.

"WOW"!
Beauty is more than skin deep! Thank you. |
awesome thread!
i would study this in more detail for future frame welds in the future to come, once i get my hand on a mig/tig welder. and have anyone done some weld projects on the 8 care to post up pics, and advise what focus points to weld... i'd like to strengthen the frame and curious on which mig/tig is better app for this. and in no particular reason to try to learn... just wanna have a stronger car to last thrughout its life ownership and able to see more track time. once again...great thread, sorry if my post is all over the place and not too specific. just excited seeing these pics =) great work |
niice work

Sorry no CAD drawings I know of.
Josh, I feel like your following me around the board.
Me? Listen buddy....I started here long before you. Just happens you post in almost every thread I'm in. Lol. ;)

I've been on the site for years and never saw this cool thread. I was in Hiroshima before I became a Mazda owner - too bad I didn't visit the museum.
I have a friend in Japan that just visited the museum again last month. Pics and info: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...hp?t=123759530
