Paranoid about DSC/TCS

Whenever DSC/TCS kicks in, it sounds and feels pretty harsh. I was just wondering if DSC/TCS could possibly cause any damage to our 8s?

Let's say, if you floor the car and drop the clutch and turn right, when they kick in, I assume that TCS cuts fuel and DSC applies rear brakes, and no damage is incurred?

I don't think Mazda would make technology that is meant to decrease the life of the car... I'm pretty sure that the DSC is safe for everyday use...
It does have something to do with the brakes though... something about applying pressure to some wheels moer than the others

Yea, from an engineer's standpoint, you don't want to design a safety device that damages the car DSC applies brake pressure accordingly to keep wheels from losing traction. I just don't like the feeling of the car whenever DSC kicks in... It just feels like the 8 is being hurt

I know exactly what you mean... The first time I felt it kick in, I thought I'd either slammed into a pothole, or destroyed something in the transmission. The DSC in particular stops you pretty hard when activated. If I'm doing anything that would set either system off, I'll typically tap the button and disengage them temporarily, then reactivate after it's "safe".
