Palm OS Based Scan Tool
Palm OS Based Scan Tool
I'm looking for one and searching the internet have given me various oprions but this one is the only one with a "dyno" application.

Any others that you know about? What do you think about it? I downloaded and installed the demo and it looks very complete. I know the RX-8 uses CAN protocol (although it is the car featured on the web page) but I don't have an 8 yet and I'd like to use it for my Protege5 and some other cars in my family.

No one knows about this or is interested? I found a OBDII and CAN compatible unit with Dyno capabilities too. It is available for PC, PocketPC and Palm OS devices.

I want one but I don't want to waste my money in something that doesn't work. Any opinions?

Did you follow the links? Can the normal scanner give you all that you get with the Palm or PC units? I own a Palm, and I'd like to use it for this. i think it's very practical and the cables are included in the kits.

Overload was working on building a CAN unit for the RX8 that could do these thing fairly cheaply, but it looks like that project is on the backburner unfortunetly.
I emailed the autoenginuity people and the said that they are working with vivid racing to develop a unit capable of reprograming the RX-8 a/f ratios!
