Hey, I was wondering if anybody has painted their engine cover. I was wondering if there was a safe way to do this with the heat from the engine. I was thinking of using brake caliper paint becuase it's supposed to withstand high heat. Just wondering if anybody has done it. Also, has any body painted the boring black air outlets on the sides of the car. I was wondering how to do it to make it look good and make it withstand the outdoors. Let me know if anybody has suggestions or ideas.

 

I'm having my side vents vacuum chrome plated.

 

That'd look hot on a brilliant black. Other colors not so much.

As for painting the cover, well mine has been sitting in the basement for about 25K miles... It's collecting dust
