Hi Guys

I have a 2005 manual trans RX8 and has the P0850 Neutral switch input circuit open. I found the tech note on what to do but I don't know wher the neutral switch is located or if someone else had this prob and can help me.

I'm getting the P0850 neutral switch CEL. Also occurring at the same time is the cruise control can be turned on, but won't engage. I suspect it's because of the neutral switch, but not 100% sure. Replaced the switch with the newest part, CEL came back again.

The car idles and runs perfectly. I also had the trans rebuilt just prior to having the problem (by a non-Mazda trans shop). My worst case fear is that whatever engages/disengages the switch in the trans may not be aligned properly.

It doesn't help that the Harrison CanPOScan has gone flakey on me again
