I had my lojack installed today and when I took my car out I noticed that the Open door light is on. I checked all doors including the trunk and the hood and everything is closed. The wierd thing is that when the door is open, the light gets brighter and when I drive the light will flash on and off.

Anybody have any clue what could be causing this? I doubt its affecting anything but its only been a couple of hours and its already driving me crazy.

BTW, I searched because it sounds a lot like the problem the early factory alarm shock sensors had before they released a revised edition with a diode on the door switch circuit. Might be worth suggesting to your lojack installer...

 

Hey rotarynoob what part of socal are you in?

 

its a ground issues.. sonds like the lojack is finding its Ground path via that Light and its lighting it up.. I have had the same thing happen with my Temp Guage. When the Battery Ground was faulty it made my temp guage and Alt guage freak out.. (not on my 8 )

Check you Batter GRound and all the other wires the Lojack guy touched.
