Oil light !
ok i was driving on the 405 doing about 80 mpg (doh, mph) in 6th gear. about 4000 rpm. the oil light came on.. I changed RPMs then it went off and stayed off.. is this the tsb oil error ?
and is it worth it to take the car in for the fix. I kinda dont mind the oil light warning me way early.
Ofcourse the 8 has plenty of oil..

Your car does 80mpg?? Awesome! Glad to see Mazda have finally solved the fuel economy issue!
Take your car in for a new oil pan (as per the TSB). Your oil light should not come on under normal driving conditions. Get it looked at soon, the oil system in rotary engines is SOOOOO important!
Cheers.

I had the same problem and got mine fixed, too. I was debating whether to have it done because it didn't really bother me, but then I realized that I wasn't paying any attention to the oil light because it would "false alarm" so frequently. So if there really was a problem, I would've probably ignored it. Now that it's fixed, if I see that light again, I KNOW I better check into it right away.
