TX Oil leak........Will they cover it?

Okay guys I'm at 94,446 miles. Approximately 72,000 on second motor and while they were changing my oil I noticed some (okay quite a bit) oil around the oil pan gasket. I had noticed it previously when installing my mid pipe but figured I just over flowed it or something. But on the lift I could see it clearly.

I have 100,000 extended bumper to bumper and the extended engine warranty. Do you think this will be covered by the Mazda warranty? I would hate to take it in and get charged the $80.00 diagnostic fee if they don't cover it. What do you think?

if you're positive that its bumper to bumper warranty by Mazda then yeah they will cover it

I had an oil pan leak on my old motor before, they fixed it.

but I mean if its just oil pan gasket leak, its a pretty easy fix.

I did it to my father's old 95 mini van before (nissan quest, now sold), took me an hour to do everything (take the pan down, clean it, wipe it, put it back)

and those gasket thing are cheap.

yeah I just thought I heard somewhere it would be part of the warranty on the reman engine. I have done oil pan gaskets and this one looks easy as pie but just figured if its covered.

FYI, there is no oil pan gasket. It just uses silicone. You think black RTV is good enough?

Plenty good enough.

Make sure you don't get any into the little bolt holes - the hydraulic pressure can crack a housing.

FC has one. (got a pretty beat up FC from one of the 7club.com mod last week. that thing is so beat up lol, tons of **** needs to fix. and I've been studying FC for the past few days thats why I hardly go on to the 8club site, lol)

but of course a tube of RTV is cheaper than the stock gasket
