Ugh =(

I checked my air filter two days ago and noticed that it had a large spot (about the size of a orange) of oil on it. It was obvious that the oil had been belched from the air intake system, as it was positioned near the bottom and middle of the air filter.

Have any of you guys seen or heard of this? What causes this?

About 3 months ago i had to take my RX8 into the dealer for stuttering and loss of power at WOT at high RPM (6k+). They said they flashed with the latest revision for the computer. I'm thinking that the oil bleching might be related to this incident... but i don't know for sure because I never checked the air filter at the time.

I replaced the air filter ($50 bucks at the dealer, ouch) and will keep tabs on it to see if happens again.
