Oil on Air filter?

As a new member to this forum first off i would like to say this forum flat out rocks and has been very informative and entertaining to read. Three weeks ago i purchased my first Mazda and it has been the greatest 3 weeks of my automotive career, this car is a blast to drive and catches many looks especially since i live in a small town and i hold a monopoly on the rx8 line. lol

My first question and im sure they be much more to follow is i recently pulled my airfilter after reading some past posts concerning members finding oil on there filter and in the air box itself. Is this normal? Did anyone else have this problem recently? And last but not least Did u recieve any GOOD advice or fixes from your dealer? I cant see any oil in the airbox, mainly because there is a screen that is blocking my view (looks easy to take out) but there is some oil on the filter and at the bottom of the airbox that seems to line up with air intake tube. Thanks in advance for any help.

2004 Sunlight Silver, AT (i can already hear the boo's) Navi, Bose with 1100 miles. Thanks again

p.s I know this has been discussed before but i wanted a update if possible because the earlier posts where +6mos old. oops

2nd post i posted this in rx general discussion with no responces so i figured i would post down here. Thanks in advance.
