I had my oil changed at Mazda today. They do a vehicle inspection and they said my breaks were fine. On the way home, I noticed when I make a left turn, there is a grinding noise from the right front tire. It's not always there and it's not when I hit the breaks. I thought it might be the breaks but since they said my breaks were good, it leaves me at a loss. What else could be making a grinding sound?

 

Take it back.

They may not have replaced the brake pad and clip on correctly after inspection or your pad is worn.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they didn't get your wheel back on snug against the rotor - likely due to rust buildup.
