Occasional 'popping' at idle

Not sure if I may have a problem or not.

I have a 'new' 2004 MT 8 that I purchased alittle over a month ago. The car had 350 miles on it and now has 1,010. I've babied it and only took it WOT once at 1,000 (yippee!). I recently replaced the cat-back with a Magnaflow system (and LOVE IT!)
My 'maybe' problem that I noticed is that when the car is sitting at idle, I notice an occasional slight 'popping' sound in the exhaust....kinda like an intermittent miss. Should I be concerned? Is this common (kinda think not).
Any ideas?
Thanks

you mean the oh-so-familiar 'brap brap brap' sound???

if you think 8's rotary idle is noticeable, you need to check out what some of the RX-7s do, lol

yet another harmless 'quirk' of the rotary engine :D

Thanks.....I kinda figured it was 'normal'......

I did own an RX7 GSL-SE back in the mid-80's.....couldn't recall any quirks like this but then again, I didn't have a 'nice' exhaust system!

Ya don't listen to those people that say that a car is not supposed to do that and something is wrong.

If im correct everyones 8 does that. If not yours and mine does, and all those above me.
