Hi. i am new to the RX8 club.
i bought a used 2005 RX8 5MT (192bhp) last aug. The car had 30k km on it but ran fine. Now has done 35k. its used frequently.
about 3 weeks back its clutch began slipping so had its disc was replaced with a new - stock version.
i dont know how but the disc broke !! yes it broke! in a weeks time - dont know what the mechanic did but i had to get it replaced again! the car rides fine but the i cant hear the shift beep anymore!

i am new to owning a RX8 and would really appreciate help in figuring out why i cant hear the beep - have checked it without the music - i know how the beed sounds as i used to hear it before the clutch replacement.

where is the over revv sensor located so that it can be re-engaged?
does it mean there is something else wrong with the transmission?
also what different transmission oils i could use?
