ok i just bought my rx8 12/31 silver 18 inch rims,iam very dissappointed what is the real horsepower my paper that came with the car said 238 is this real or bull sh*t? why are we all getting different numbers on the dyno?? thanks

 

you should really try a seach on this topic. Mazda put out a statement the car cant really be dynoed it goes into limp mode. (searh for that as well) i my self am very new to the 8 and the rotary for that matter. i personally have heard the lost of HP is due to the US reg cat. but i might be talking out my butt to

 

Put it on an engine dyno and then you can tell us!

 

Yes, the official hp is 238. This was annouced and made public long time ago.
