New potential Issue. Need theories!

Hey again guys.

So the car is working great since my last post everything seems to be back to normal since it was fixed. One thing i have been thinking about for quite a while even before my recent problem is this sound it makes. I can't describe the sound but basically it is this kind of nagging sound only when I idle and when i press the clutch down it disappears. I lift it up and it comes back. Drives me nuts since i pay so much attention to the car now.

Is this maybe like a normal thing with rotaries or what? mazda didn't seem to catch it.

Alright so theories guys.

Thanks

Yup normal and in 76K miles of driving, I haven't had a problem yet with the throwout bearing even though it sounds lousy.

It is a good idea to search before posting on a potential problem. There are many who have been through them before you, although sometimes it can be hard to frame the search .

Enjoy that 8!

Swoope is correct.
You are hearing the idle gear (or gear rollover).
