NEED TECH Help!! (foglight install)

Hey all........I have the stock 6 speed......without the sport pkg....(no foglights)

I just recently bought a set of fogs from a guy on EBAY...(he got a Mazda speed bumper and has no use for the fogs so I bought em)

Anyway....Is there ANYONE out there that can help..??

I have located the wire that attaches to the fogs.....I have plugged the fogs in....I turned on the lights.......

NOTHING.

They don't work.

I think though I am missing something.....I chescked to see if the FOG fuses were there....and YEs they were...so that wasnt it.....
I plugged both in just to be sure they weren't connected somehow....still didnt work.

The only thing I can think of is this... Is there a swich somewhere I need to turn on??

No...there is no "on/off" swich with the fogs....and my car didnt come with one. Do those of you with FOGS have a switch that can turn on/off the fogs?? I was told there is no switch and that the fogs come on when U turn on the headlights.....

So....I have attached 2 pics....they are the wiring harness that attaches to the fogs...so that the TECH GOD that helps me will relaize I have the right wire....(actually its the only wire that isnt connected....)

the big black box under the hood along with all the "regular fuses"

yes....

But.....I don't have a Foglight switch(in the car).....I guess I need one of those....as others on the forum atlk of their "switch"

How do I get one??
While I'm at it.....anyone know how to connect it?? I assume it pops in where the interior(dash) light control wheel is....

the fog ligth switch is on the left of the steering wheel "wand".

it rotates around th ewand to turn them on/off you may need to wire a different switch if you dont have this.

Ok Snap on.....I got the fogs INSTALLEd....taking the bumper off was a snap......

I have the wand on order......

Is there any way U can post some directions on how to uninstall my current wand and then reinstall the new wand??

I 'd assume they go in just like they go out.....I HOPE TO GOD I don't have to do any real "wiring"

Thanks man,
Jeff

So.....i got the part....doe sanyone know of what to do to put this thing in???

I got as far as un-doing the 3 screws for the plastic housing around the "rear" of the sterring wheel and taking out the airbag form the wheel.....I didn;t detach the wires for fear of screwing things up....(wasnt sure if the power to the car had to be killed or something)

Anyone???

Jeff

The switch is the simple part..just take the screws out of the bottom of the column cover.

Drop the wheel all the way down and snap the two pieces apart.

The switch will come out with a couple of screws.
